Dear Friends

Greetings, Salutations and Namaskars! At the outset, on behalf of OSUK, we extend a hearty welcome to one and all to be a part and parcel of the forthcoming annual congress “ The 39th Annual Convention of Odisha Society of UK” to be held on 25th and 26th August 2018 in Darwen, Lancashire.

It is in the fitness of things and geographically appropriate,  that the chosen venue has a historic link with India. This association is seen best in Darwen, a quaint place, which is a picturesque market town with old world charm, that hosted an official visit from Mohandas K Gandhi in 1931 during the industrial revolution.

A lot of effort is pumped in with wholehearted contribution from friends and wellwishers in the preparation of this extravaganza. In the run into the programme, the organising committee is not leaving a single stone unturned, to make it yet another memorable fest with plenty of fun, frolic and ecstasy laden activities and for all age groups. This two-day programme encompasses entertainment, stage activities and talent search competitions to unearth the prodigies and acknowledge on stage.

Registration is now open and we would request you to kindly consider registering for the event as soon as possible so that we would be able to plan upfront and organise the event in a seamless manner without much hiccoughs.

Needless to say, we would be reaching out to each other during the event with the gastronomic delights of Odia cuisine fresh from the kitchen tickling your taste buds. It is no secret that cultural exchange and related tags associated with Odisha and its rich heritage will be on display.

I am sure, this will foster a sense of belonging amongst us and the harmonious relationship would certainly be cemented with a good social quotient.

Let's join together and make it count

Respects and regards
